XPert BoxTools

XPert BoxTools makes the process of adjusting the size and placement of items, text, and graphics easier. You can adjust the position and rotation of items and make copyfitting a snap. Commands in the Style and Item menus expand your options for working with pictures and their boxes. XPert BoxTools supports the multiple undo and redo feature in QuarkXPress®.

XPert BoxTools features and how to use them

Work with pictures

Expand your options for working with pictures.
With the picture box active, chose Style > Align Picture and Style > Scale Picture.

Expand your options for working with picture boxes.
With the picture box active, chose Item > Shape Picture Box and Item > Size Box to Picture.

Work with text

Access options for distributing text vertically.
With the text box active, choose Item > Vertical Text Alignment and Item > Lock Text.

Work with the Nudge palette

Adjust the position and rotation of items and pictures.
Choose View > XPert BoxTools > Show Nudge.

Work with the Fit Text palette

Copyfit text easily.
Choose View > XPert BoxTools > Show Fit Text.

XPert BoxTools commands

• The Ungroup All command makes it easier to ungroup items so you can work with them individually.
• The Lock Text command prevents users from editing final text.
• The Fit Selection To Window command scales and centers a selection to the active window
