Output Enhancements XTensions™ software streamlines output to multiple devices and makes it easy to generate output in a variety of formats. With Output Enhancements XTensions software, you can output QuarkXPress layouts — either individually or in a batch — to printers, to imagesetters and as EPS, PostScript, and PDF files.

Output Enhancements XTensions software gives you the tools you need to prevent errors and generate quality output to different devices or file formats — each time, every time — in a single operation.

You can use Output Enhancements XTensions software with QuarkXPress or with QuarkXPress in a Quark Publishing System (QPS®) Classic environment.

This productivity enhancing software is available in two versions:

Output Enhancements XTensions User Mode

Output Enhancements XTensions User Mode is available as a free download.

• Create Output Styles for output to a printer, an imagesetter, PostScript, EPS, and PDF.
• Group Output Styles using Output Style Groups and run an Output Style or an Output Style Group with a simple mouse click.
• Use placeholders to access system- and document-specific values and Quark Publishing System® (QPS®) Classic header fields
• Customize file naming and file paths using placeholders.
• Create an individual page header to organize your output.
• Configure QuarkXPress layers to use for output.
• Create information boxes for picture and text boxes.
• Create rules that define when to display information boxes at print time or for printing a picture based on picture type, color, or file name pattern.

Output Enhancements XTensions Auto Mode

Output Enhancements XTensions Auto Mode is available for purchase through the QuarkStore and Quark customer service.

• Use all of the features listed above for Output Enhancements User Mode.
• Process output styles or output style groups on QuarkXPress projects that are placed in a hotfolder.
• Process Output Styles or Output Style Groups on QuarkXPress projects based on a saved Quark Publishing System (QPS) Classic query in a QPS Classic environment.
• Perform basic preflight checks of QuarkXPress projects before processing.
