Mac OS X 10.4 only: QuarkXPress no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You check out a QuarkXPress project that contains attachments.
You change the geometry and content of the attached articles.
You click Check in/Close/Print in the Article Status Notification area in the QuarkDispatch Preferences dialog box.
You check in the project.
You click Update all in the dialog box that displays to notify you that some elements of the project are not up to date.
The message “Waiting for file access from server” displays and QuarkXPress stops responding.
Your administrator logs you off of the QuarkDispatch server.
Mac OS X 10.4 only: QuarkXPress no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You check out a QuarkXPress project and a copy of that project is already open in QuarkXPress.
You cancel the check-out of the project.
The message “Waiting for server reply” displays and the QuarkDispatch server quits unexpectedly.
Mac OS X only: QuarkXPress and the QuarkDispatch server no longer quit unexpectedly when you update the content of a QuarkCopyDesk article (QuarkDispatch > Update All Content) and your administrator logs you off of the server.
Mac OS X only: QuarkXPress now closes the project when you check in a project that contains an attached article with a master file that was deleted from the file server.
The QuarkDispatch application no longer detaches QuarkCopyDesk articles that are attached to a QuarkXPress project in the following scenario:
You assign a text box as a QuarkCopyDesk article.
You add a new layout to the project and assign a text box from this layout.

Windows® XP and 2000 only: QuarkXPress no longer displays an alert and reflows the text in the following scenario:
The QuarkDispatch XTensions software for QuarkXPress is installed and running.
You enter text into linked text boxes and check Lock to Baseline Grid in the Paragraph Attributes dialog box (Style > Formats).
You add the text boxes to a library and drag these back from the library to the layout.
When you duplicate an article that is attached to a checked-out QuarkXPress project, the duplicate article now becomes editable, and the original article remains locked and attached to the project in the following scenario:
You check out a QuarkXPress project with an attached article.
You open the layout properties dialog box (Layout > Layout Properties) and click OK with or without making changes.
You duplicate the attached article.
Mac OS X only: QuarkXPress no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You assign a text box as a QuarkCopyDesk article.
You check out the article in QuarkCopyDesk, add text, and check in the article.
You reduce the size of the text box in QuarkXPress and then click the Update Geometry and Page Numbers icon in the Query palette.
The QuarkDispatch server no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You check out an attached article as read-only in QuarkCopyDesk.
You check out the same article in QuarkXPress or you check out the article in QuarkCopyDesk and save a revision (QuarkDispatch > Save Revision).
Mac OS X 10.3.9 only: The QuarkDispatch server no longer quits unexpectedly when you force quit the client application that is connected to the server.
The QuarkDispatch server no longer quits unexpectedly when you force quit a QuarkDispatch client application that is in the process of connecting to the server.
The QuarkDispatch server no longer quits unexpectedly when 9 or 10 users log on to the server and perform QPS operations concurrently.
The QuarkDispatch application no longer creates an extra copy of a QuarkCopyDesk article in the file server when you use the Query palette to duplicate the article or a copy of the article.
The QuarkDispatch server now recognizes the “QLAClient.properties” file when you start the server after setting the system language to Arabic.
The QuarkDispatch server no longer quits unexpectedly if you log on to the QuarkDispatch server from a QuarkDispatch client application when the computer where the primary Quark License Administrator (QLA) server is running is not connected or has been shut down.
In QuarkDispatch Manager, you can log on to the QuarkDispatch server and perform all QuarkDispatch functions in the following scenario:
The file server is on the same computer where the QuarkDispatch server is running.
You log on to the QuarkDispatch server from QuarkDispatch Manager, which is running on a different computer on which the file server is not mounted.
QuarkDispatch Manager prompts you to enter your user name and password to mount the file server.
You provide a valid user name and password.
The QuarkDispatch Manager interface now displays correctly when you relaunch it after changing the application language from English to Dutch.
Mac OS X 10.3.9 only: You can now delete a revision of a QuarkDispatch item even if it is the only item that displays in the workspace window.

QuarkDispatch Manager now displays all the revisions of files that you repaired.
QuarkDispatch Manager no longer quits unexpectedly when you repeatedly click Cancel in the file server authentication dialog box, which displays when you log on to the QuarkDispatch server without mounting the file server on your computer.
Mac OS X 10.4 only: QuarkDispatch Manager no longer quits unexpectedly when you replicate a QuarkDispatch item to another server when the corresponding file server is not mounted on your computer.
QuarkDispatch Manager no longer quits unexpectedly when you restore the archived files that you removed from the server.

Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly while you are checking in a checked-out article on a computer on which Norton AntiVirus (a virus-prevention software) is running.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly when you check out an article as a read-only copy.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You check out an attached article twice as a read-only copy.
You click OK in the alert that displays when you check out the article the second time.
You select the same article in the Query palette and use the Header information dialog box to route it to another user.
You click OK in the Header information dialog box.
Mac OS X only: In QuarkCopyDesk, all note windows now correctly display below the Query palette in the following scenario:
You create an article and enter text and notes into it.
You open the Query palette.
You choose Edit > Note > Open All Notes.
Mac OS X only: The QuarkDispatch application no longer retains a copy of a QuarkCopyDesk article in the local folder on your computer in the following scenario:
A virus-prevention software is installed and running on your computer.

You check out an article using the Query palette.
You edit text in the article and apply styles.
You check in the article and route it to a user who has logged on from another computer.
The user to whom you routed the article checks out the article.
The Save As dialog box now displays when you choose File > Save As for a checked-out QuarkCopyDesk article.
Special characters no longer display in the title bar when you view a revision of a checked-out article that contains more than 15 characters in its name. Similarly, an alert no longer displays when you view a revision of a checked-out article with a name that contains more than 16 characters.
QuarkCopyDesk correctly checks in all the articles and no longer displays an alert in the following scenario:
You check out multiple articles using the Query palette.
You select all the checked-out articles in the Query palette.
You Alt+click the Check In button in the Query palette.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You attach a QuarkCopyDesk article to a QuarkXPress project.
You check out the same article in QuarkCopyDesk that is running on a different computer and save a revision of the article.
You use QuarkXPress to change the geometry of the text box to which the article is attached.
You click OK in the alert that notifies you about the change in geometry in QuarkCopyDesk.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
The Redline XTensions software is installed and running in the QuarkCopyDesk application.
You check out an article and change the application view to Galley.
You check Show Color in Galley View in the Display tab of the Application Preferences dialog box (QuarkCopyDesk > Preferences > Application) and change the text color in the Galley view.
You check in the article.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer displays an alert and quits unexpectedly when you check out an article and perform QPS operations, such as save revision, check-in, or check-out.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly when multiple users are logged on to the QuarkDispatch server and you check in or save the revision of a checked-out large article when your administrator is shutting down the server.
In QuarkCopyDesk, an alert now notifies you to specify a valid component type in the following scenario:
Your administrator sets the QuarkDispatch configuration file to restrict the user entries in the Component Type field.
You create a component in a checked-out article and specify an invalid type for the component.
Mac OS X only: You can now launch QuarkConnect and log on to the QuarkDispatch server from QuarkConnect when you restart your computer after setting the system language to Arabic.
Mac OS X 10.4 only: You can now use the shortcut key (Command+Q) to close the QuarkConnect application.
Windows XP and 2000 only: Microsoft® Word now displays only the file formats it supports (RTF, DOC, or TXT) in the Format drop-down menu of the Check In File dialog box. The format in which you saved the file is highlighted.
Mac OS X only: The header fields no longer collide in the Header information dialog box for a QuarkXPress project or a QuarkCopyDesk article. The dialog box now displays the header fields in the order set in the configuration file.
Mac OS X only: You can now log on to the QuarkDispatch server from a client application when an octet value in the IP address is 0. (An IP address consists of four octets. An octet is an 8-bit binary number that is equivalent to a decimal number in the range 0-255.)
Mac OS X only: The client application no longer quits unexpectedly when you check out a QuarkDispatch file after removing the latest revision of the file from the file server.
Mac OS X only: In QuarkXPress or QuarkCopyDesk, text in the Attachment Information dialog box or in the Information about Selected Items dialog box no longer duplicates in the following scenario:
You select multiple items in the Query palette.
You click Attachment Info or Selection Info button in the Query palette.
You scroll down the content in the Attachment Information dialog box or in the Information about Selected Items dialog box.
Mac OS X only: QuarkXPress no longer quits unexpectedly when you automate the printing process of a checked-out QuarkXPress project using the MadeToPrint XTensions software.
The QuarkDispatch application no longer responds erratically when you check in a QuarkXPress project - with or without attachments.
QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly when you check out an article in QuarkCopyDesk that you have already attached to a text box in QuarkXPress, select all of the text, press F10, and enter text in the article.
Mac OS X 10.3.9: In QuarkXPress, you can now successfully check in a checked-out QuarkCopyDesk article that is attached to a QuarkXPress project when the application prompts you while you are checking in the project.
