Mac OS® X only: You can now correctly check in a QuarkXPress® project template to the QuarkDispatch server when the Quark® Media Manager XTensions software is installed and running with the QuarkXPress application. The Quark Media Manager XTensions software is part of Quark Content Manager.
In QuarkXPress, the view now refreshes properly in the following scenario:
You use a computer with a split-screen monitor.
You check out a QuarkXPress project from the QuarkDispatch server.
You insert notes into the text boxes in the project.
You move and resize the notes dialog box.
Mac OS X only: When you use a specific configuration file to start the QuarkDispatch server and expand a specific project in the Query palette in the Project and Page display mode, the Query palette no longer displays multiple occurrences of the same layout of the project.
Mac OS X only: The Query palette refreshes properly and no longer remains static in the following scenario:
You log on to QuarkXPress or QuarkCopyDesk.
You get disconnected from the file server.
You attempt to check out an asset.
You enter a valid user name and password in the log-on dialog box, which displays to enable you to connect to the file server.
You use the Query palette to check out an asset.
When Auto Save is enabled in the QuarkXPress Preferences, the system now correctly removes the “Auto Save” file after you save project revisions.
In QuarkXPress, you can now attach a specific article to a selected component when you start the QuarkDispatch server with specific customer assets.
Windows® only: When you run QPS client applications on Windows, these applications can now correctly map to the file server when the file server is also on Windows.
Mac OS X only: The QuarkDispatch server no longer quits unexpectedly and the client applications work correctly when you repeatedly check out an attached article as read-only in QuarkCopyDesk and then in QuarkXPress.
Mac OS X only: When you delete a master file from the QuarkDispatch file server, the system correctly displays the file in the Bad/Missing files field in the QuarkDispatch server window and decreases the file count in the Query palette.
Mac OS X only: While creating an archive log file, the application no longer truncates the name of the target folder, and the archive log file now correctly displays the name of the target folder.
Mac OS X only: The header fields in the Workspace window no longer collapse in the following scenario:
You open the Previous Revisions column in the Workspace window.
You resize the window to a size that is smaller than the original and then again to the original size.
Mac OS X 10.4 only: The application no longer quits unexpectedly when you replicate a QuarkDispatch asset and log on to a QuarkDispatch server when its file server is not mounted on your computer.
Mac OS X only: In QuarkDispatch Manager, you can now perform all QuarkDispatch functions. The application no longer treats the QuarkDispatch server software as an earlier version in the following scenario:
The file server and the QuarkDispatch server are running on the same computer.
You log on to the QuarkDispatch server from QuarkDispatch Manager, which is running on a different computer, and the file server is not mounted on that computer.
QuarkDispatch Manager prompts you to enter your user name and password to mount the file server.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer stops responding when many users are logged on to the QuarkDispatch server and you click OK in the alert that notifies you to update the geometry.
QuarkCopyDesk no longer stops responding if you choose Galley or Keep Last Setting from the Display View drop-down menu in the QuarkDispatch Preferences dialog box and then check out an article.
Windows XP only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly when you create an article from a section that contains an “&” (ampersand) character in its name.
Mac OS 9 only: The system no longer displays an alert and you can now log on to the QuarkDispatch server in the following scenario:
The file server and the QuarkDispatch server are running on the same computer.
You log on to the QuarkDispatch server from QuarkCopyDesk 9.x, which is running on a different computer, and the file server is not mounted on that computer.
You log on to the QuarkDispatch server with a valid user name and password.
Mac OS X and Windows XP only: A QuarkCopyDesk article no longer remains inactive when you check out the article as read-only, check out another article, and then check out the first article, which is already open as a read-only document.
Mac OS X and Windows XP only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You assign a text box that contains more than two notes as a QuarkCopyDesk article.
You check out the same article in QuarkCopyDesk.
You copy the text from the article into a new component.
The application focuses an article at the correct position when you check out a QuarkCopyDesk article that is attached to a QuarkXPress project with facing pages.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
You enter text into the assigned text box, and the text overflows.
Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk now retains the page pictures in a QuarkXPress project when you click OK in the alert that notifies you to update the geometry while saving the revision of the file.
Mac OS X only: The system now correctly displays the number of revisions of a QuarkXPress project that are present in the file server when you view the revisions of the project in QuarkXPress or QuarkDispatch Manager.
Windows XP only: The Query palette now displays correctly in the following scenario:
You use a computer with a split-screen monitor.
You use QuarkXPress or QuarkCopyDesk to log on to the QuarkDispatch server.
You create a query that lists all the assets.
You view and resize the Query palette on the secondary screen on your computer.
Windows only: A memory leak no longer occurs in the following scenario:
You assign a text box in a QuarkXPress project as a QuarkCopyDesk article.
You check out the same article in QuarkCopyDesk.
You edit the content of the article and save the article revision.
You click OK in the alert that notifies you that the geometry has changed.
In QuarkXPress, you repeatedly edit the content of the text box and update the content.
The QuarkCopyDesk articles no longer appear as being attached to a QuarkXPress layout, in the QuarkDispatch Manager workspace, which has been deleted from the system after replication of the same to another system.
The Query palette no longer displays the layout and page information twice for assets that are in the same layout and on the same page of a QuarkXPress project.
Mac OS X only: QuarkXPress no longer quits unexpectedly when you access a QuarkXPress project with the MadeToPrint XTensions software.
QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly on check-out of an article in Galley view in the following scenario:
You assign a text box in a QuarkXPress project as a QuarkCopyDesk article.
You check out the same article in QuarkCopyDesk and enable Redlining.
You close the article without checking it back into the system.
You modify geometry of this article in QuarkXPress layout and update geometry.
You click the update geometry alert on opening the opening the article in QuarkCopyDesk from local file folder.
