QuarkCopyDesk 3.5.5 Resolved Issues

Following is a list of issues resolved in QuarkCopyDesk® 3.5.5:

  • The Open Notes by and Open All Notes menu options are now available in the Note submenu (Edit menu) when you insert a note into an article, add a component to the article, then click in the article .
  • When you insert text into an article in Galley view with the Tracking and Highlighting options enabled and then select all the inserted text and disable Highlighting, only the correct selection is highlighted.
  • Mac OS® X only: You can now correctly select text when you shift from a search window to the QuarkCopyDesk article window.
  • Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
    1. You insert a note into an article.
    2. You enter text into the note.
    3. You choose Undo from the Edit menu.
    4. You close the note and press Command+Z.
  • Mac OS X only: When you replace words while spell checking an article, the word that replaced the misspelled word no longer remains highlighted.
  • Mac OS X only: When you spell check an article, QuarkCopyDesk now correctly highlights all suspected words.
  • Mac OS X only: The Word Count dialog box now closes when you press Esc during a spell check (Utilities > Check Spelling) on an article that contains no suspected words.
  • Windows® 2000 and Windows XP: When you log on to the QuarkDispatch® server, change the view to Galley or Full Screen, select text, then change the view to WYSIWYG, the highlighted text now comes into focus on the computer screen.
  • Mac OS X only: False text selection no longer occurs in the following scenario:
    1. You select text in an article.
    2. You choose Style > Formats.
    3. You change an attribute in the Paragraph Attribute dialog box.
    4. You select or deselect the text in the article.
  • Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk now displays the correct font size in the Measurements palette in the following scenario:
    1. You enter three lines of text into an article.
    2. You select text in the third line, then you enter text to replace it.
    3. You enter text at the beginning of the second line.
    4. You select the text in the second line and delete it.
    5. You press Command+Z twice to undo the changes
  • Mac OS X only: QuarkCopyDesk no longer quits unexpectedly in the following scenario:
    1. You enter text that is separated by tabs into an article.
    2. You change the view to Galley (View menu).
    3. You Option+click Apply in the Paragraph Attributes dialog box (Style > Tabs) to apply tab settings to the text in the article.
    4. You reposition the tabs in the text.
  • When you create a QuarkXPress layout, set the program language to German, and export the text as a QuarkCopyDesk article, the name of the component displays correctly when you open it in QuarkCopyDesk.
  • When you update QuarkCopyDesk 3.5 to QuarkCopyDesk 3.5.5, the "QLAClient.properties" file no longer displays the incorrect Quark® License Administrator (QLA) server information.
  • When you export a rotated text box or a text box that contains rotated or flipped content from a QuarkXPress project as a QuarkCopyDesk article, the contents display properly when you open the article in QuarkCopyDesk.
