Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG)

Quark is a member of Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG), an international assembly of graphic arts professionals established to create, test, and disseminate best practices and specifications for publishing workflows. GWG is comprised user representatives and vendors who share ideas and test methods for the most practical, accurate, and convenient exchange of print-ready files between creators and producers of print.

International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress,
Press and Postpress (CIP4)

Quark is a member of CIP4, an international association that defines standards for the integration of prepress, press, and postpress processes for end-to-end publishing workflows. CIP4 encourages the specification of standards for computer-based integration of all processes and brings together vendors, consultants, and end-users in the fields of print communications, graphic arts, and associated industries. The organization focuses on covering a variety of equipment, software, peripherals, and processes.

Global Society for Asset Management
(G-SAM)

Quark is a principal founding member of G-SAM, a global organisation that promotes the development and adoption of technologies to manage, protect, and create value from digital assets. G-SAM promotes integrated products and processes that support interoperability and open standards that drive adoption and user acceptance of digital asset management (DAM) and related technologies.

International Color Consortium (ICC)

Quark is a member of ICC, the organization that developed the ICC profile specification. ICC creates, promotes, and encourages the standardisation and evolution of an open, vendor-neutral, cross-platform color-management system architecture and components so that end users can transparently move profiles and images with embedded profiles among different operating systems.

Networked Graphic Production (NGP)

Quark is a member of NGP, an initiative of leading print-industry vendors focused on creating an efficient, collaborative environment to automate the entire print-production process from idea to delivery. NGP members work together to develop systems and solutions based on Job Definition Format (JDF) and other open standards that enable plug-and-play integration of print and publishing systems and provide tight control over content creation and production.

Print On Demand Initiative (PODi)

Quark is an executive member of PODi, the organisation that is developing standards for PPML (personalised print markup language) as part of the digital printing initiative. Comprising vendors, developers, and print service providers, PODi promotes interoperability through standards, professional knowledge, and best practices and advances the opportunities in digital printing technology through market-development activities, including white papers, articles, independent research, and industry speaking engagements.
